Botannica

“…Allow nature’s peace to flow into you as sunshine flows into the trees…”

John Muir

The expansive former drawing room, Botanica has all the gracious ambience you would expect in a high Victorian manor house.

Enveloping you in its spacious luxury, Botanica is the perfect room for an elegant escape.

With huge floor to ceiling windows overlooking the parkland gardens, every detail in Botanica elevates the spirit and has been considered for your total comfort.

Taking centre stage is a sumptuous over-size sleigh bed, luxuriously layered with the highest quality linens and natural fibre quilts to guard against Bathurst’s seasonal chill.

Waking from a deep and rejuvenating sleep in your oasis of warmth and calm, guests are often surprised to find they can simply luxuriate while listening to bird song as the sun creeps into the gardens.

Bishop’s Court Estate, represents luxury with a warm heart. Christine knows not only how to create beautiful spaces but how to make her guests feel welcome and relaxed. Having stayed one night, we left feeling like we’d had a long and decadent holiday - completely pampered.
It is impossible to put into a few words how marvellous our stay was. The rooms are simply gorgeous - in fact you really don’t want to go anywhere, just to take in the feel of the house is enough.

Bishop's Room

Bishop's Room

“…..When I was playing a bishop, I would always walk on set thinking. ‘…This is my show, this is my show all around me…’ ”

Mike Colter (American actor)

The Bishop’s Room has both substance and style writ large in its majestic proportions.
You could expect nothing less from the private space of The Bishop.

Christine has called on the collective history to create a rooms that invites guests to make it your own. Using its original grandeur as a backdrop for restrained but luxe furnishings and finishes, the Bishop’s Room opens out onto the glorious Treetops Terrace where guests can while away pleasant hours on a wicker lounges a flute of champagne and a good book in hand.

Return after a days’ exploring and just settle back in comfort and in the knowledge you are “home”.

My wife and I cannot find enough superlatives to describe our stay at Bishop’s Court Estate in Bathurst. Christine, Rodney and the team are amazingly attentive, gracious hosts, and the property and service levels are a true testament to the love and effort they put into it.

We have travelled extensively around the world and stayed at some of the best hotels and the service and welcome from Christine is as good as any you will find! This place is a gem...surprising and beautifully decorated, with warm, lush rooms and beautiful common areas.

Harmony

Harmony

“… He who lives in harmony with himself lives in harmony with the universe….”

Marcus Aurelius

Harmony is a favourite room for creatives and lovers.

Drenched in northern light, Harmony easily carries its fabulously, dramatic colour scheme of deep Parisian grey with the occasional touches of elegant bling. Christine’s flair and creative passion have brought this room to life!

White plantation shutters give the room an elegant Edwardian feel and the comfortable window seat is an inviting reading spot during winter.

Fabulous throws and fabrics mesh together all the design elements beautifully, and it is a perfect room for those guests needing to relax and savour time.

Harmony has access to the Treetops Terrace and its own private seating area – perfect to enjoy a regional wine or a superb afternoon tea, overlooking the gardens.

Words cannot express how lovely this place is. The rooms were beautiful and the veranda overlooking the garden where you could sit and relax, read, work (if you had to) or have a drink in the peace and quiet was just lovely. Christine is amazing - the way she has restored the house and her friendliness while you are there truly makes you feel like a friend rather than a guest. Would recommend this boutique hotel to anyone.
My wife and I were fortunate to spend two nights here and our stay was nothing short of indulgent! Beautifully appointed bedroom with waiting chocolates and port; luxurious bathroom; spacious balcony; wonderfully-curated grounds; delicious, freshly-prepared breakfast. Definitely worth a visit or two if you want to be pampered! Highly recommended!

This is one of the most enjoyable places we have stayed anywhere in the world. This grand home has many beautiful rooms to just sit and relax. Bedrooms are wonderful. The gardens are glorious. The staff are particularly excellent. Don’t look anywhere else - stay here!
A beautiful home, appropriately and artistically decorated with a stunning garden. It was hard to leave. The team were wonderful hosts, we were welcomed like old friends. Everything was taken care of, even down to the ironing of a shirt! Thoughtful touches were freely applied. I cannot recommend this place too highly. We hope to come back again.

Tranquility

Tranquility

“The ideal of beauty is simplicity and tranquillity.”

Johann Von Goethe

At the top of the stairs is Tranquillity, its lustrous cherry red walls embracing all, to creating a space of soothing calmness.

Restrained décor, including carefully curated Sid Dickens’ Memory Blocks from Christine’s own extensive collection, create a state of balance in this room making it the favourite of many.

A fabulous antique bed, artistically layered, invites total relaxation, while the door onto the Treetops Terrace entices further exploration and allows country breezes to rejuvenate the spirit.

Tranquillity is the perfect room for peaceful contemplation and deep relaxation.

The setting, rooms and décor are exquisite. A lot of love and care has gone into the restoration of this Victorian manor. There are plenty of places just to enjoy the quietness and beauty of the property - there is even a surviving chapel! The beds are large and comfortable with lots of pillows. This is perfect place for a weekend away or as a base to explore historic Bathurst and the surrounding districts. Only a three hour drive from Sydney.
This historic property was a splendid revelation of the highest order. From the moment we drove through the imposing entry we were overcome by the sheer magnificence of the building, its’ opulent interior and it’s private garden areas. We were shown to our most luxurious suite and encouraged to make ourselves at home and feel free to wander.

Divinity

Divinity

Tucked away in a quiet corner of the house is Divinity, a room with all the feels. Christine’s sure hand has styled to evoke an elegant simplicity that invites guests to stop, unwind and relax.

During Spring the delicious perfume of lilac fills this room and it is simply Divine and an absolute balm for the soul.

A room for regeneration, Divinity invites indulging in rare snoozes as sunlight plays in the treetops or meanders out onto the Treetops Terrace to read a book. Chocolat, Christine’s Burmese might join you. He an old soul with many friends in the Bishop’s Court Estate family and he simply is the loveliest creature.

After exploring Bathurst for the day come ‘home’ before luxuriating all over again.
It’s so easy and simply divine!

I recently was indulged with an evening dinner at Bishop’s Court and cannot find enough words to describe the lovely experience. The meal was fabulous, beautifully presented with delightful, warm staff catering to our group perfectly. The real surprise was the home itself. Each room decorated exquisitely, with fascinating art and collectables tucked into every nook. Everything was like a treasure hunt with each room presenting something new. For a beautiful weekend away or simply a delicious meal, I happily recommend Bishop’s Court.
The Bishops Court has the complete WOW!….From the moment of our arrival, we were taken care of completely. Our room was absolutely lovely and joined onto the large balcony where we could soak up the tranquil atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. A completely wonderful and refreshing experience. The Bishop’s Court has our highest recommendation.
